The Pocket Book Readers' Prize distinguished, on Thursday, September 23, Pierre Jarawan in the French literature category for his first novel Tant qu’il y aura des cèdres (As long as there will be cedars), the story of a family of exiles of Lebanese origin whose the son, Samir, goes to Beirut, the cradle of his childhood tales, in order to unearth the clues scattered in the shade of the cedars.
The Booksellers' Choice, on the literature side, went to Gaëlle Nohant for La femme révélée (The revealed woman).
In the thriller category, readers and booksellers unanimously praised Jérôme Loubry for Les refuges. This double is exceptional.
In the documents / essays category, the winner chosen by the readers is Titiou Lecoq for Honoré et moi.
Each year, from February to August, 130 readers in literature and 130 in police / thrillers as well as 50 readers in documents and essays each month choose their favorite book from a selection of books.
