Each year, the Pocket Book Readers' Prize elects works of various styles and eclectic subjects. From February to August, a work is chosen each month in literature, thriller and essay from a selection from the Livre de Poche collections. These novelties are sent upstream to the jury made up of 310 readers, all French or French-speaking foreigners, and divided into three categories: literature, police, documents and essays.
